Ingomar Garden Club supports local youth entries into National Garden Clubs, Inc Youth Contests. These include: Smokey Bear & Woodsy Owl Contest, Poetry Contest, and Youth Sculpture Contest. We work with local schools and teachers to incorporate these contests into their curriculum. A Covid 2021 workaround has us visiting local YMCA Summer Camps. Each youth entry is judged at the local level (District IX) for submission at the State level (GCFP). These submissions then go on to the regional level (CAR) and then National level (NGC).  IGC Sponsorships for the Poetry and Smokey Bear/Woodsy Owl Poster contest began in 1996 while the High School Essay contest ran from 2006-2021.
