Conservation Youth

Currantly, 8 elementary schools participate in the Smokey Bear/ Woodsy Owl Poster and Poetry Contest.  In addition, Hampton High School takes part in an essay contest.  All candidates receive a certificate of participation from IGC.   Student Entries that go to State for further judging receive certificates at the State, National or RegionaL levels for prize-winning submissions.  IGC Sponsorships for the Poetry and Smokey Bear/Woodsy Owl Poster contest began in 1996 while the High School contest was ititiated in 2006.                                                                                                                                                                  

Chris Hawthorn and Barb Oswald are the "dedicated, hardworking" Chair Persons.
