This cream colored frame two story house with black shutters is on a corner lot surrounded by several planting beds in front and on the side. There are five steps leading to the front entry with large ferns in pots and columnar hornbeam on either side. Japanese maple, rhododendron, dogwood, ilex shrubs and variegated liriope follow around the side of the house as well as several clumps of river birch, limelight hydrangea on the corner of the house, dogwood and myrtle ground cover. On the right corner of the property one bed featured Russian sage, and pink barberry picking up the color of the pink echinacea. Going to the back of the property is rudebeckia surrounding a deck with ferns, moonbeam coreopsis, ilex shrubs, Japanese red maple and myrtle. Creeping Jenny lights up several beds and hanging baskets as well. Tall deciduous trees frame the house in the rear creating a very pleasant setting. Sandra Straughan who did so well in the planning of the garden was most gracious in identifying many of the plantings.
