Presidents Comments October 2016

To The Best Club ever,

Growing Forward is our club theme, and with each activity we continue to grow forward with big strides.

Ocean Treasures and Pleasures flower show was a huge success. We were given MANY congratulations on a wonderful show. Our guests were greatly impressed. We were a blessing to many, and thus we were blessed. Thank you to all of the hard working chairmen and their committees and their entrants. We had around 210 entries and 40 club members participate. Those who participated are to be commended for their energy, planning, and efforts. We won the Staging Award which lead to MANY more awards and enough points that we need to produce the Book of Evidence to apply for this Flower Show award. The judges were impressed.

Next came the District IX meeting and luncheon held at Twelve Oaks off Rt 228. Again Ingomar Garden Club members won many awards. These will be announced at the October meeting. Listen for the award for Julie Barnes.

I was reminded that Ingomar Garden Club is noted all over the state for the many Conservation- Youth awards that are received. Thank you to Chris Hawthorne with her 19 years of service and her co-chair Barb Oswald.

Now lay back and enjoy the rest of the September projects and Field Trips. Our next glorious event is the 70th Anniversary party.
