Presidents Comments for Nov. 2018
Autumn greetings,
The temperature has dropped, the leaves are changing, and I am enjoying the surprises my
garden is still providing. I have raspberries, peppers and a daylily that is in rebloom mode!
We had a wonderfully informative tour of Bidwell’s Drew Mathieson Center. Mark Wallace
discussed how the Center combines curriculum with seasonal crops that provide income
that helps sustain the center. Everyone was amazed by the cleanliness of the greenhouses!
Poetry judging is this Friday, attend if you can. This one event provides us A LOT of name
recognition.
We have invited Greybrooke and Shaler Garden Clubs to our November program with Polly
Berginc. Please leave seats at your tables for 3-4, allow them to go through the snack line
first, and introduce yourselves. We will have items created by Chelo and others available
for sale during this meeting, check them out on our Facebook page, and bring you
checkbook or cash. Follow the link from www.ingomar-garden-club.com.
Savor the Season,
Linda
