02/29/2016 16:40Welcome back Gardening Friends,
Sometimes it feels like Spring but it seems that Winter does not want to let go yet. If Punxsutawney Phil is right, then Spring is not far behind. It is March again. March is like a signal for Mother Nature to prepare for Spring, and a reminder to us to get ready for another great year of gardening.
A busy year is ahead for our Club. We have lots of “fun” events planned, so your participation is much needed. Please consider helping in our plant sale, and participating in our Flower Show. How about coming to the District IX Members Day Out on April 5th? This is a fun event plus you will learn more about District IX. Also, we are calling all our talented members to submit entries to the “Trash to Treasure” contest. Theme this year is “Bee-Dazzled”. Entries have to be submitted at the Members Day Out luncheon. An eblast was sent out regarding this event but if you did not receive the email, information will be available at our March meeting.
SAVE THE DATES for these other upcoming events of interest: Philadelphia Flower Show on March 5-13; Glade Run Spring Gardening Symposium on Sat., April 2nd; and the GCFP Convention in State College on April 10-12.
VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE: A motion to raise our annual dues from $30 to $40 will be voted on at our March 2nd meeting. Please see separate article inside this issue about this notice.
