November Article
Greetings Garden Friends,
Welcome to November, a month that reminds us that gratitude should be our best attitude. There is always something to be thankful for. Spending time with loved ones and enjoying delicious cooking as Thanksgiving begins the holiday season. In October a feeling of warmth was prompted by sharing good food and entertainment with our neighboring garden club friends after a few year hiatus. A trip to the Enchanted Olive captivated senses as we discovered flavored oils and different types of vinegar to enhance our culinary experiences. Then a pleasant lunch at the Log Cabin made a rainy day sunny. And for this grateful gardener, outside chores have been more fulfilling in autumn’s brightness.
Looking toward our November 2nd Northmont Meeting, Linda Womsley will guide us through the planting of Micro-greens. This interesting program had originally been presented in the spring by CAR via Zoom. It was amazing to learn what can be planted and harvested by this technique. After that, we have been invited by Greybrooke on November 9th, 11am to delight in a Shopping/Lunch/ Program with them. Finally, it is hard to believe that our Shannopin Holiday luncheon is coming up too. Menu choices should be offered in this newsletter. If possible, make your selections and money available to Linda at our November meeting.
