Linda Womsley

Fall greetings gardeners,

September sure went fast! My flowers are all suffering from a lack of water, I may be partially to blame. I hope that yours are fairing better!

Thank you to the members who stopped by our tent at the Mccandless community day. We had a great day, and most of us enjoyed showing our worms! See worms here! Encouraged more kids than prospective members, we got our message out either way. Thanks.

I've been told that the Harmony tour was a success, wish I could have been there.

This month we invite our neighboring clubs to join our meeting, please make them welcome! Don't forget your food!

Hope you all can join us for our final field trip of 2019. We will be heading to the Tree Pittsburgh greenhouse Wednesday, October 23rd for a tour starting at 10:00 am. Tree Pittsburgh is located at 32 62nd Street, in upper Lawrenceville. You may recall that Joe Davish, from Tree Pittsburgh, came to educate us in May with his program on tree planting and pruning. We will meet to carpool from the lot in front of The Ashley Homestore on McKnight Road (across from Ross Park Mall) at 9:20 am. We will grab a bite for lunch after the tour – location TBD! As always, friends and family are welcome! A signup will be available at the October meeting. Questions? Contact Program Chair Kate Colville at (412) 736-2062 or robjcolville@msn.com.

Share the Season,
Linda
