As we drove along Rt. 19 this bright strip of garden caught our attention.  There is a strip of ground between the sidewalk and the asphalt that Jill Markl has turned into a colorful display.  In the sun area near the street she has planted Stella D’Oros, sun hostas, and May Night Salvia perennials that are mixed with annual red geraniums backed with brown mulch.  Under the maple tree, where there is the only shade, Jill has planted red impatiens .  What a delight to see in such a difficult area.
